A Bucket List in Progress

Image
This is the start of my bucket list. A jumbled up, diverse assortment of things to accomplish, experience, see, visit, etc, etc. This list is constantly growing and changing in a labyrinth kind of way. Some things on it might be a little tricky or require a bit of luck to check off, but it doesn't hurt to add it to the list anyway.  So, I now present to you the start of my master bucket list: Stick with a blog for longer than a month (already have 3 failures) Run a marathon Implement a successful business project in my community Learn to swing dance Visit Hawaii, New Orleans, Italy, and England Go on an actual road trip (That one time when I hit up every ice cream shop in my town doesn't count) Visit a volcano Find and buy old political campaign memorabilia  Learn to play the trumpet (in progress) Become a crochet and knitting master (I have a container full of a million forgotten projects) Enter a writing competition (and try to win more than a participation...

The World | Poetry

Image
She did not love the world, But she embraced everything it threw her way She did not love the world, But she loved its Lights Colors Creation All sounds were symphonies of a long-lost galaxy, All her senses overloaded with constellations of the mind But she did not love the world. She did not love the world, But treasured each today more than each yesterday Experiencing every emotion in the spectrum, Expressing and embracing all to the fullest Tears were a waterfall of rich agony A smile an indescribable beauty. And it seemed as though the world loved her; A spark in her mind that never grew dim, A light in her eyes that continually grew brighter But the world did not love her, And she did not love the world. The world: A bitter, two-faced force A backstabbing friend at best Maybe not a friend at all; But she did not need the world. She did not love the world, At least, this world. Perhaps, Possibly, Another?

For the past few months, I had been so enthusiastic about starting a blog in the summer, and I had planned it all out in my head. But, I somehow missed this one super important part, and now I was stuck right at step one. My mind was at a blank for ideas. After 2 hours of writing down words and trying to find the right combination, one of them finally clicked: The Theory of Things. A very vague and general title for a very general blog. I plan on writing about anything and everything that comes up in my life, providing readers with my tho...
