The World | Poetry
She did not love the world,
But she embraced everything it threw her way
She did not love the world,
But she loved its
Lights
Colors
Creation
All sounds were symphonies of a long-lost galaxy,
All her senses overloaded with constellations of the mind
But she did not love the world.
She did not love the world,
But treasured each today more than each yesterday
Experiencing every emotion in the spectrum,
Expressing and embracing all to the fullest
Tears were a waterfall of rich agony
A smile an indescribable beauty.
And it seemed as though the world loved her;
A spark in her mind that never grew dim,
A light in her eyes that continually grew brighter
But the world did not love her,
And she did not love the world.
The world:
A bitter, two-faced force
A backstabbing friend at best
Maybe not a friend at all;
But she did not need the world.
She did not love the world,
At least, this world.
Perhaps,
Possibly,
Another?

'A bitter, two-faced force' such a good line xx
